Christos Papadopoulos

Christos Papadopoulos

Christos Papadopoulos studied dance and choreography at SNDO (School for New Dance Development) in Amsterdam, theater at theDrama School of Greece’s National Theater, and Political Sciencesin Athens. He is a founding member of the dance group “The Lion and the Wolf.” His first works, "OPUS" and "ELVEDON", were met with great acclaim when presented at the Porta Theater in Greece. "ELVEDON" was the first choice of Aerowaves ’16 and was later presented in Paris, Amsterdam, and other European cities. "OPUS" was chosen by Aerowaves ’18, and soon after began its international tour. "ION" (2018), commissioned by Onassis Stegi and coproduced by Théâtre de la Ville, Paris, and Le Lieu Unique, Nantes, continues to tour successfully. "LARSEN C" (2021), an international coproduction, has already been presented to more than 25 venues and festivals across Europe. In 2023, he created the work "MELLOWING" for the prestigious dance company Dance On and, later on, "MYCELIUM" for the Lyon Opera Ballet and the Biennale de la Danse Lyon. These works are touring worldwide. This June he is creating a solo work for Georgios Kotsifakis for the LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura and after that in September ’24 a new piece for NDT 1 . In May ’25 he will premiere his new work with his company, at Onassis Stegi Athens.

Georgios Kotsifakis

Born in Heraklion, Crete, Greece on October 12, 1988, he excelled in dance, graduating with distinction from the Professional Dance School of Rallou Manou in Athens and the Amsterdam School of Arts (MTD). Admitted to P.A.R.T.S. international dance school in Brussels in 2008, he earned a scholarship from the Greek State Scholarship Foundation in 2010. Notably, in 2021, he received the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS. As a dancer, he has collaborated with renowned companies and artists globally, including DV8, RAMBERT, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and the Royal Ballet of Flanders. His versatility extends to assistant choreography for Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon, Dance On Ensemble in Berlin, and the 1st European Games in Baku (2015). As a dance teacher, he imparts his expertise at prestigious institutions such as the Greek National Opera Professional Dance School and Brancacio Danza in Rome, among others.

Ioanna Paraskevopoulou

Ioanna Paraskevopoulou

Ioanna Paraskevopoulou, Athens-based dancer and choreographer, graduated from the Greek National School of Dance and pursues studies at the Ionian University's Department of Audiovisual Arts. Her artistic focus intertwines audiovisual media and movement, reshaping choreographic boundaries. Collaborating with acclaimed artists like Christos Papadopoulos and Iris Karayan, she received awards for her performances at international festivals. Ioanna's choreographic video project, "All She Likes Is Popping Bubble Wrap," garnered recognition at global festivals, winning Best Sound Design and Best Video Art Awards. As a part of Onassis New Choreographers Festival, she presented "MOS," showcased at Julidans NEXT, and earned the Young Jury Award for "Coconut Effect" at Danse Élargie competition. Selected for Aerowaves’ Twenty23, Ioanna continues to make waves in contemporary dance.

Chara Kotsali

Chara Kotsali

Chara Kotsali, a versatile dance artist and acclaimed choreographer, graduated from Rallou Manou Professional School of Dance. She's a teacher of contemporary dance technique, holding degrees in Theater Studies and Social & Cultural Anthropology, with musical training. As the supported choreographer of Οnassis Stegi for 2023-2024, her debut work "to be possessed" received honors and tours internationally. Chara has co-choreographed performances and led research projects, earning accolades, including the Greek Critics Association award for best theatre choreography in 2023. As a performer, she has collaborated with renowned artists in Greece and abroad, showcasing her diverse talents.

Maria Bregianni

Maria Bregianni

Born in Kalamata, Greece, I moved to Athens in 2007, pursuing creative and academic goals. Beginning my dance journey in 2009 at the State School of Dance, I collaborated with Dimitris Papaioannou on "Nowhere" at the National Theater of Greece. After graduating from the State School of Dance in 2011 and NTUA in 2014 with a Chemical Engineering degree, I initially worked as a chemical engineer. Joining the choreographic team for the European Olympic Games in 2015 marked a shift. Since 2016, I've danced in Christos Papadopoulos' works, participated in "Suspiria," collaborated with Lenio Kaklea, joined Rootless Root, and contributed to various projects, including a VR installation. Currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Engineering, I eagerly anticipate a premiere collaboration with Euripides Laskaridis at Onassis Stegi in April 2024.

Amalia Kosma

Amalia Kosma, born in Athens in 1985, is a seasoned dancer and performer with extensive training from prestigious institutions. She graduated with honors from the National School of Dance in Athens and holds a BA in Sociology from Panteion University. Amalia has collaborated with renowned artists like Euripides Laskarides, Christos Papadopoulos, and Dimitris Papaioannou, showcasing her talent at international festivals. Her diverse career includes serving as a movement director for theatrical performances at esteemed venues such as the National Theatre of Greece and the Athens Concert Hall. Recognized for her outstanding contributions, she was awarded the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS in 2022.

Sotiria Koutsopetrou

Sotiria Koutsopetrou

Sotiria Koutsopetrou, born in 1997 in Heraklion, Crete, Greece, graduated from the State School of Dance in Athens in 2018. Currently pursuing Theory and History of Art at the Athens School of Fine Arts, she has made a mark as a performer, collaborating with notable artists such as Anna Konjetzky, Christos Papadopoulos, and Dimitris Papaioannou. Her international journey includes joining Germany's MiR Dance Company in 2019, working with renowned choreographers. In 2022, she showcased her choreographic prowess with the solo piece 'so it goes*' at the Kalamata Dance Festival. Beyond the stage, Koutsopetrou imparts her expertise, teaching contemporary dance in various settings, including the Opéra National de Lyon.

Adonis Vais

Adonis Vais

Born in Athens in 1984, Adonis Vais discovered his love for music early in life. His journey into dance began at 17, leading him to the Greek State School of Dance. Graduating in 2009 with the Koula Pratsika Foundation Scholarship, he danced for the Hellenic Dance Company and Valasia Simeonidou during his studies. His professional debut in Dimitris Papaioannou's "NOWHERE" marked the start of a remarkable career. From collaborations with Konstantinos Rigos to touring with Sasha Waltz & Guests Company, Adonis's international impact is undeniable. Now based in Athens since 2020, he continues to shape the dance scene through collaborations with renowned artists.

Nadi Gogoulou

Nadi Gogoulou

Nadi Gogoulou (b.1988) is a versatile dance artist seamlessly blending her craft with video-ing practices. Holding degrees in dance and economics from Athens, she earned a Master's in "New Performative Practices" from Stockholm University of the Arts. Recognized for her artistic merit, she received the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship by ARTWORKS in 2021. As a dancer, she collaborated with prominent Greek choreographers, performing in international festivals across Europe. Her creative ventures include projects like B.A.W.L., The cooking-with-Nadi show, and sHow.me. Nadi extends her artistic prowess to filmmaking, with short films showcased in international festivals. She also contributes as a choreographer to theatre productions in Greece, showcasing her diverse talents on prestigious stages.

Tasos Nikas

Tasos Nikas

Athens-born Tasos Nikas, a 2019 graduate of the National School of Dance in Greece, showcases a dynamic career in contemporary dance. Notably, he performed in Maria Hassabi's "I will be your mirror" in Hong Kong (2023) and danced for Christos Papadopoulos's Leon and Wolf company in projects spanning Athens, Bassano del Grappa, Stockholm, Hannover, Oslo, Paris, Rotterdam, and Bern (2019-2023). Tasos also contributed to Adonis Foniadakis Dance Company's "Salema Revisited" in various international venues (2021-23) and collaborated with Balich Worldwide Show in Saudi Arabia. His versatile talent extends to productions with the National School of Dance and the Athens and Epidaurus Festival. Tasos remains dedicated to growth, participating in workshops both in Greece and abroad.

Efthimios Moschopoulos

Efthimios Moschopoulos

Born in Kefalonia in 1992, Efthimios Moschopoulos, a Greek dancer based in Athens, graduated from the Greek National School of Dance (KSOT) and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His extensive performance career includes collaborations with acclaimed artists like Armin Hokmi, Euripides Laskaridis, and Romeo Castellucci. He showcased his talent at international festivals such as Julidans, Lyon Dance Biennale, and Festival TransAmériques. Notably, Efthimios received the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Artist Fellowship in 2020. A versatile artist, he also served as a stage movement director for various theater productions. His innovative works have been presented at prestigious venues worldwide.

Danae Pazirgiannidi

Danae Pazirgiannidi

Danae Pazirgiannidi was born in Athens, Greece (1992). She graduated from the Department of Management Science & Technology, Athens University of Economics and Business (2015) and the State School of Dance (2018). Professionally, she has collaborated as a performer with Christos Papadopoulos' ‘Leon and Wolf’ Dance Co. (2019-2023), ‘Ki omοs kineitai’ Acrobatics Dance Co. (2023), ‘Plefsis' Physical Theatre Co. (2018-2021), Angelos Papadopoulos Dance Co. (2020-2023), Hellenic Dance Co. (2019). She participated in the residency ‘Escaladant Eleusis’, a collaboration with Le Plus Petit Cirque du Monde in France (2021-2023). She has also worked as a movement director for theatrical plays in Athens (2022, 2023).

Themis Andreoulaki

Themis Andreoulaki

Themis Andreoulaki, a Greek-American dance artist and Pilates teacher, was born in Amsterdam in 1996 and raised in Athens, Greece. A graduate of the Greek National School of Dance (2015-2018), she holds a Refined Pilates Teacher Training certification with Jenny Colebourne (1000 hours). With a diverse educational background including music and Bharatanatyam Classical Indian Dance, she is currently enrolled in the Theater Studies department at the University of Athens. Themis is an active performer both in Greece and abroad, collaborating with esteemed choreographers and directors like Christos Papadopoulos, Tzeni Argyriou, and (LA) HORDE collective. Alongside her dance career, she serves as a Pilates teacher in Athens.

Alexsis Tsiamoglou

Alexsis Tsiamoglou

Alexis, with a Bachelor's in dance and a Master of Arts in Fine Arts and Political Science, stands out with accolades like the Spazio award from the Amsterdam Institute of Choreography (2013) and Artworks from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (2021). For nearly two decades, he's conducted innovative training programs across Europe for diverse groups, including cultural workers, dancers, and non-dancers, within museums, institutions, schools, NGOs, universities, and prisons. Collaborating with Christos Papadopoulos in "ION," a production extensively toured in Europe, Alexis also starred in the award-winning short film "Fabric of Time" by Miky Ambrozi. His extensive contributions to dance and choreography encompass significant productions for Greece's National Theatre, Athens and Epidaurus Festival, Onassis Cultural Centre, and Megaron-Athens Concert Hall.

A seasoned professional dancer and instructor, she graduated from the State School of Dance in Athens. Her impressive career includes performances with acclaimed artists and dance companies such as Dimitris Papaioannou, X-it Dancetheater, Konstantinos Rigos, and Sinequanon. Notable collaborations extend to choreographers like Ageliki Stellatou, Christos Papadopoulos, and Roula Koutroubeli. As a choreographer, she partnered with directors Maria Vardaka and Michalis Gigidis, contributing to various theatre productions. Engaging in diverse workshops led by renowned figures, she honed her skills under Jeremy Nelson, Andonis Foniadakis, and others. Committed to education, she imparts contemporary dance expertise to professionals, amateurs, and actors.

Alexandros Nouskas Varelas

Alexandros Nouskas Varelas

Alexandros is a graduate of the National School of Dance (KSOT) and holds a degree in Spanish Literature from Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has performed with prominent dance companies such as Hellenic Dance Company and Griffón Dance Company, appearing in major venues and festivals across Europe. Alexandros also explores theater, video, and filmmaking, blending movement with cinematic storytelling. His work has been featured in festivals like Athens Video Dance Project and Brussels' International Dance Film Festival. He has collaborated with renowned directors and is a recipient of the ARTWORKS award and Stavros Niarchos Foundation fellowship.

Eliza Alexandropoulou

Eliza Alexandropoulou

Eliza Alexandropoulou, a graduate from the Drama Department at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specializes in Set and Costume Design. Her stage design prowess earned her the 1st UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Arts, showcased at the 2007 PRAGUE QUADRENNIAL Exhibition. Operating in Athens and internationally, Eliza excels as a stage lighting designer, contributing to numerous theater plays and dance performances. Collaborating with esteemed directors like Yannis Houvardas, Euripides Laskaridis, and Christos Papadopoulos, she has garnered acclaim. Her innovative lighting design for "Relic" at the Barbican Centre earned her recognition at the Theatre and Technology Awards in London (2017), and she clinched the gold prize for "Elenit" at the Greek Lighting Awards (2021). Eliza is also a founding member of the creative group Beforelight, exploring light installation and public light art.

Coti K. (pronounced: Kóti Káppa) a.k.a. Costantino Luca Rolando Kyriakos is an Italo-Greek composer, musician and record producer. He has written music for film, theater, TV adverts and has also released various solo records. He has collaborated with many artists including Dimitris Papaioannou, Tuxedomoon, Ilios, Dennis Iliadis, Yorgos Lanthimos, Babis Makridis, Yiannis Aggelakas, Mohammad, Nikos Veliotis and many others. Since 2014 his solo work is focused in writing and singing songs under the alias 'The Man From Managra'.

Kornilios Selamsis

Kornilios Selamsis

Born in Athens, Greece, in 1981, composer Kornilios Selamsis navigates the realms of contemporary concert music and theatrical compositions. A piano graduate from Athens and composition alumnus of the Koninklijk Conservatorium, The Hague, he returned to Athens in 2011. Kornilios actively contributes to the city's cultural scene, engaging in over 60 new creations for both concert music and theater. His commissioned works, performed globally, include pieces for renowned entities like the Athens State Orchestra, Łódz Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Greek National Opera. Kornilios, a versatile artist, composed a full-length opera and presented a notable sound installation at the Benaki Museum in 2018. Additionally, he conducts premieres of contemporary works and spearheaded a three-year composition course for the Greek National Theatre.

Clio Boboti

Clio Boboti, born in Athens with Greek-Italian heritage, holds a BA and MA in theatre design and scenography from Central Saint Martins College, London. Her MA studies in Krakow and Wroclaw focused on the works of director Tadeusz Kantor, influencing her subsequent exploration of sculpture, drawing, and mechanical structures. Returning to Athens in 2006, Boboti seamlessly integrated these elements into her scenography practice, contributing to productions in theatre, dance, and cinema. Her diverse portfolio graces renowned venues globally, from the National Theatre and National Opera of Greece to the Serpentine Gallery in the UK and Théâtre de la Ville in Paris. Additionally, she served as art director for films like "Boy Eating the Bird's Food" (2012) and "Moderation" (2017) and showcased her work in various art exhibitions across institutions, museums, and galleries.
